![]() Those were usually ignored and players went on for the “ignore target’s defense” affix.Įnergy was not giving spell dmg. Strength wasn’t giving enough dmg to melee. ![]() The attributes in D2 weren’t really interesting. ![]() You then have attack on multiple slots on your gear, with weapon having more attack than other slots, and while being the main source of attack, is not the only source. In D4 the base dmg seems to be on the skill rather than on the weapon, which I believe is a better system. In D3 what mattered was your weapon, and then multipliers like your set bonus and your main stat. So far from what I’ve seen the D4 system is better than D3. Whole “attack and defense” thing is just replacing the main stats from diablo 3: dex(for monk and demon hunter), str(for barbar), etc.īut he’d rather see more interesting stats like in D2, where you can actually mess with them and spec into charisma with a barbar if you want to increased attack speed (faster melee attacks, faster firing of projectiles/spells).increase CC effect durations (perfer individual effect instead of a all in 1 CC increasing effect).increase number of projectiles, spell/skill effects that act like a projectile.increase spell/projectile/skills travel speed. As Crit Chance+ effect really only become the goal of trying to achieve 100% Crit chance then forget about it. I would also like to not see Crit Chance+ effect return but instead have effects along the line of next attack/s crit or why under this effect/form all attacks crit (enemy frozen, in were-bear form). One affixes I hope not to see is Crit Dmg+, as that just starts to build into the dmg multipler multiplying the dmg multiplier or any other multipler of multipler effects. Including Attack/Defense that’s a total of 5-6 item stats. My problem with D2 affixes is I don’t want to read an essay just to figure out what I have on an item.
